The Solar Illuminated Address Mailbox
This is the mailbox with solar powered address numbers that are clearly visible day or night. A solar panel built into the top of the mailbox powers an LED that illuminates the address numbers on both sides of the mailbox.
A light sensor ensures the LED turns on automatically at dusk and off at dawn, and its bright illumination enables the numbers to be seen by guests or deliverymen up to 50′ away.
The 3″-tall numbers remain illuminated for up to 40 hours after one day of charging and the solar panel recharges the internal battery even on overcast days. Approved by the U.S. Postmaster general, the mailbox is made of durable, weatherproof plastic and its 10″ x 12″ opening accommodates oversized mail.
