The Holographic Hornlet Speakers
Unlike common full-range speakers that use a downward-firing cabinet topology, these speakers force resonance upward through the horn, creating a three-dimensional, “holographic” soundstage. Each highly sensitive speaker employs a 3″ full-range driver for a larger-than-life acoustic effect. Handmade by a Chicago manufacturer of musical instruments whose clients range from Andrew Bird to Blue Oyster Cult, each one-of-a-kind hornlet is made using surprising sustainable materials—recycled newsprint and dryer lint—that are coated with shellac.
