barcelona-based practice sanzpont [arquitectura] has submitted their proposal for the ‘busan opera house’ international competition for busan, south korea. the form is derived from the balance of opposites referred to as the ‘um-yang’ within the culture of the local inhabitants. interpreting the ancient philosophy within a cutting edge external appearance establishes a connection between the past and present while signifying its long life into the future.
